USENIX is an association of mainly UNIX professionals who sponsor conferences and other activities that provide a forum for the exercise of critical thought and the airing of technical issues. A special technical group of the USENIX Association is the System Administrators Guild (SAGE). SAGE is currently in the process of developing the SAGE Certification which is a vendor netural certification initially focusing on a set of core competencies.
